A total of 20 sites for you to visit on a self drive tour

Charities being supported

All profits from the tour will go to charity, distributed approximately each to the local community, the Dunedin wider community, and the Taieri Community.

  • $2 per ticket to each of 6 of the venues you visit (Churches, Elsie Evans, Museum, Pioneer Hall)

  • Approximately $4 profit margin per ticket to Port Chalmers School for providing your complimentary Devonshire Tea

  • 15% of net profit to the Sims Building Restoration Project, who have a small group working hard to restore this historic link to early Port Chalmers history. (www.odt.co.nz/news/dunedin/positive-moves-future-sims-site),

  • 40% of net profit to the Dunedin Night Shelter Trust, who do such great work in providing accommodation for those who need a safe temporary home (https://dunedinnightshelter.co.nz)

  • 40% of net profit towards the community contribution funding of the Taieri Cycle Trail project getting underway next year, aiming to provide a safe, off road cycle connection between Mosgiel and Waihola, via Outram

  • 5% of net profit to the Taieri Rotary Club Charitable Trust, as a small part contribution towards the great work we do supporting local people and projects

Where to meet
- You should plan on being at the Cruise Ship Terminal (21 Beach St, Port Chalmers), from 10.15am onwards to exchange your emailed voucher, for a wrist band to provide access to all locations, along with a location map, and pen portrait booklet outlining a brief history of each home.

Devonshire Tea Your ticket will include a complementary Devonshire Tea hosted by Port Chalmers School.

Ticket Purchase Unlike the previous event, this year tickets are only available online (click here).

Refunds If your situation changes and you can no longer participate, a full refund is available up until 1st March. Just email us at contact@trtoursnz.org with your voucher number.
There will also be a refund option if we have to postpone to a later date due to Covid Alert level or some other unforeseen event.
